In this third and final part of this three-part series, host Dan Lesniak goes over the reality check analysis real estate agents should be having with clients up front – before you show them any homes or present them with any properties. You need to figure out their price point, the type of homes they are looking for, including the size, the features, and the ideal locations whey they are interested in living. Once you put that data into the MLS, it will allow the MLS to show them the results – including the reality of the cost and availability of the kind of home they are looking for. This will save you and them a lot of time of frustration and it is something you should be doing before you ever show them a home. You won’t be wasting your time on homes that are not the right fit for them and their budget. It also gives you the opportunity to ask more questions of what they might be flexible on and how you can start to adjust the data and present them with results that might be a better fit for them.
